'09 Blitzen Benz - 21.5 liters
Built with the aim of breaking the 200 km/h, the Blitzen Benz features a 4 cylinders engine based on the Grand Prix car. But its not the 4 cyl you might have in your Golf, the displacement was enlarged to 21.5 liters (1310ci) and the output reached 200bhp. On April 23, 1911, on Daytona beach, the pilot Bob Burman recorded
an average speed of 225.65 km/h, faster than any vehicle on land had ever been. The record remained unbroken until 1919.

NSRA Nostalgia Nationals 2012
A Sunday out at Shakespeare county Raceway for the NSRA Nats. We went there with Thom and the sun was shining, the loud roaring V8s were clearing their throats ready to go on the dragway. Sadly by the time the cars started moving, the great british summer decided to spoil the fun and there was just enough rain to stop the event. I didn't get the chance to see any of the cars running. But I am hoping to be back there with the Firebird for RWYB looking for a good quarter mile time!
